Musings of a minister-- ethics, responsibility, liberalism and love.
Entry for November 23, 2007
Half the fun of the travel is the esthetic of lostness.

~Ray Bradbury

I am not much of a country music fan but I have always thought my theme song should be "How can I miss you if you won't go away?" I have in fact spent my life trying to create the freedom that comes only from not staying in one place for too long. But as I sit in the airport and write this --I realize that the real vacation I have taken this week is not to Las Vegas or to the Grand Canyon but the real vacation is from my day to day life and there is nothing so sweet as leaving so you can come back- getting lost so you can find your way anew is the real gift of travel.
